We were out of state buyers looking for a home in middle Tennessee. After searching online we found Scott’s webpage and really liked the information provided. The first surprise was Scott contacting us right away on a Sunday evening after entering our information online.
This was the beginning of an extremely pleasant support experience. We were looking for a new home and had a couple of setbacks during the building process, every time Scott was on top of things. He was following up on the whole process and provided alternatives if something was not working to ensure that we could move into our house on time.

We were transitioning back to Nashville from Greenville SC and we were on a very tight schedule to get our second grader registered at a specific school. We looked at rentals in the area and when we realized we were going to be paying as much in rent as a mortgage payment and not having anything to show for it…we decided to turn our rental search into a buying search. During the process we came across Scott’s “First Time Homebuyers site and filled out the information to be contacted. Scott called us within hours of completing the information and we scheduled a meeting for the next day. When we meet with Scott, he was extremely understanding of our time constraints and situation. Within hours of taking our information he was able to get us prequalified. In addition to the quick work he did with that, Scott suggested we try for several grants that were available for first time buyers. We applied with Scott’s direction and received several thousand dollars which aided in our downpayment. The home we selected was still under construction and he walked us through every step of the process, with selections, inspections, earnest money and so on. He was very courteous, helpful and informative throughout the entire home buying process. Any and all questions we had were answered to our understanding and in a timely manner. Scott was more than just a great asset to us while we were shopping for mortgages, looking for our first home and navigating through the contract/closing process. Unlike some people, he actually knows something about what he’s doing and moreover, he actually cares about doing the right thing for his clients. Honestly, words cannot describe how SIMPLE Scott made our first home buying experience. Going into this we were terrified. We had heard a lot of people experiencing horror stories when buying their first home. If that wasn’t enough to worry about, we bought our home in October 2008. The economy was rapidly declining and the banks were not lending.

Our first phone conversation with Scott put my mind at ease. He was AMAZING. He explained the process to buy our first home in a way that was easy for us to understand. Your research of the Murfreesboro houses which meet my provided criteria was a big help. I was able to eliminate many of the house for sell in the area via a virtual internet tour. As I was moving from Colorado, this saved considerable time and enabled me to purchase a house within a 2 day period. We were able to start looking on Saturday, had and accepted offer on Tuesday and closed on Thursday. It was very clear who Scott Hines was working for during the entire house buying process.
